    No Exclusivity=Ian/EA Scrambling

Let me start off by saying I hope EA does make improvements to make the game more realistic. But we hear this every year. They will say they fixed this and that, then we get the game and the same stuff keeps happening. Years of misguidedness and laziness and the cushion of exclusivity allowed them to do this.

    1. Who thought that fans wanted to hear 1 radio announcer calling games.

    2. who wants to see constant closeups of the scoreboard showing cracked bones etc.

    3. Even 2009 announcing was so fake and detached from the action.

    4. Why is player interaction not as good as 2k5 which was on a weaker system and made 5 years ago.

    5. Why cant Qb passing/arm mechanics be as fluid as 2k5 was

Why do big players like Peyton Manning still have the wrong face mask, when his real one is actually in the game. In the last 3 years no one from the art department once noticed that manning has the wrong face mask, sure they have but never bothered to change it. Why does the full cage mask with the 2 extra bars exist in the game when the facemask does not even exist. Why are the revolutions so misproportionate.

Why does the super bowl just end?
Why does the probowl not have different team helmets?

The reason I bring up 2k5 is that this is stuff that has been done before so they have no excuse.

Was the 2k5 team just more talented? I hope not for maddens sake.

But now the contract is running out, and EA all of a sudden wants to hear the voice of the fans who have been complaining about the same things for years. I hope they are scared and motivated to bring us an experience that we deserve in a football game made in 2009, i went 2 years without buying madden until i bought 2009 and returned it after a month.

i grew up on madden always loved it, then it just got lame and DATED. 2k5 was showing what a football video game can be, so EA
got nervous and took them out of the game. Truth is EA cant come up with a reasonable logic for their flaws, and they will always ignore these questions.

I just hope they are sincere this year and actually do what they have set out to accomplish, because trust me if 2k gets back in the game Madden will be the 2nd game in 3 years.

No one cares what you think. People are here to give suggestions to Ian on how to make Madden better. People like you are disrespectful and serve no purpose here. Instead of b!tching about Madden, Why don't you go play NFL 2k5

Haha the whole.... dont mention 2k5 thing. Ha. Donesnt matter if you have good points your putting 2k5 above madden. Even if its your opinion its aint gonna fly. Its a shame tho. I do wonder how much better madden 09 would be if there was a 2k9

Do you realize how many times we have gone over this Madden Vs 2K5 thing? I Bring up 2k5 all the time when I mention how to Improve Maddens presentation. But this is a broken Record, At least once or twice a week someone feels the need to say how much better 2K5. Seriously, Madden thus far has pretty much been a disappointment, But give this whole argument a rest already.

We have been beating a dead horse for years...

The original poster brings up many good points. Football video games have suffered immensely since the exclusivity. EA Sports has banked on all of the young generation to run out a buy a roster update every year since 2001 and they were right. It is time for a change and change is good.

If they lose the deal then there won't be anymore interaction with the developers and the community. Its a double edge sword. With the license there able to communicate with us with no fear of ideas being taking. If they lose it it'll be back to how it use to be with everyone just bickering over whats needed or what's not right. At this point with the level of interaction that Phil and Ian have provided I hope they keep the license. That way we can discuss ideas with developers directly instead "wishful thinking"!

The show devs had no problem interacting and communicating with the community. I don't understand why people are saying the communication would stop.

I have been asking these same questions for the past 3 years.

"Why do big players like Peyton Manning still have the wrong face mask, when his real one is actually in the game. In the last 3 years no one from the art department once noticed that manning has the wrong face mask, sure they have but never bothered to change it. Here is my thread about it.
