Confess, Who's Dropped Down a Level?

I used to play on HOF in 08. It was too easy to hit because u didn't really need the left stick to make good contact. Not the same with 09. I tried HOF for a while but just can't seem to make good enough contact to compete. So now I'm dropping down a level to All Star to hopefully improve my skill.

But, I love the fact that it's a challenge, and there's 2 more levels above me (hof/legend) to challenge me and grow with me as I get better.

This is a GOOD THING.

So, I ask, who's man enough to admit they've dropped down a level?

Been noticing All Star is more of a challenge over last year. So I am working on that.

Question on hitting, with the plate coverage with the Left Stick.

Am I right to assume, that this is almost like Zone Hitting, where I need to move the left stick to make better contact (with the plate coverage bubble) as to where the ball is, and my timing effects the pull or push of the ball?

And the Right Stick is for pop/grounder influence, and left/right bunt influence?

So holding right on the Left Stick with a Lefty batter wont hit opposite field, rather have my guy look for good contact outside, and time effects pull/push influence?

I only had mlb 08 for a couple of months and am happily struggling to find my way at All-Star (I think you have to be at that level to qualify for trophies) so I figured why not..

at least I'm happy with the tunes when I miss by a couple of feet

I'm hanging in there on Legend, but I lost 8-2 to the Angels today, Napoli took King Felix deep the first time and then launched a ball so high off of Aardsma that I think it touched God's foot, unfortunately it was a 3 run jack that did me in, LOL Lackey struck me out 12 times for the complete game win.

I'm a horrible hacker...I've dropped down to pro after Cy Young and the Golden Era needed 12 innings to beat a AA team *blush*

I am alll the way down to Veteran!

No slider tweaks yet, I tried the using the PCI and it actually hurt more than it helped. I am using guess pitch, I think you can get by with out moving the left stick to hit.

All I care about is that the games are competitive and fun as hell.

I dropped from Legend to Hof, and am still having a tough time winning games, but I absolutely love the challenge.

I am finding Legend hard, but instead of dropping down I might just turn guess pitch back on.

You need all the help you can get against the CPU offense.

I'm trying to stick with allstar. I have scored a total of 4 runs in a franchise I just started. I'm still in ST and playing backups though. Maybe that has something to do with it. I probably just suck.

I have been on all-star level since I got the game. And, I think I will be staying there. I have not touched one slider yet and am having great games.

I win some and lose some but overall, I am struggling on AS and just got blanked 3-0 by Brandon Webb with the Dodgers.
