Ian / Phil, does HB AWR do anything when you control?
 

I've always wondered this but there's just no way to prove it.

Does HB AWR have any impact what so ever when you are controlling him? Does the O-line get a RBK boost perhaps, or does it affect the effectiveness of Play Action perhaps?

We've had this debate in our PS2 leagues for a long time... I always felt that HB AWR DID something, but for the most part I was told that I was crazy :(

It would be nice if it had some type of impact even if you are controlling him.

To the OP,

I think it does, I could be wrong. I know you were specifically asking the devs (and I hope you don't mind me chimming in). But, I've had situations were I am in control of a player and I want him to either catch the ball, or swat the ball away and he won't do it...or his response time is way late.

Im pretty sure he says awareness does nothing when youre in control.

I actually wonder that about ALL of the positions you USER control.

Yeah, your right...I remember now. I think he sais the User is the AWR for the player when we take control of them.

AWR has no effect on the human HB.

I'll defer to Donny to be absolutely sure, but I am also 90% that Awareness no longer applies to the CPU ballcarrier - it was replaced by ballcarrier vision.

I've always assumed that the awareness rating had absolutely NO effect on ANY player being controlled by YOU (the user). Awareness should only effect players under cpu control?
