Has anyone experienced a rainy game?
is rain even in the game? Delays or postponements are part of franchise mode?

Re: Has anyone experienced a rainy game?
I thought rain delays and stuff were supposed to be in this year but it doesn't appear they are. Maybe they can add some rain with the patch, along with some sunshine...
sidenote: I still like the fact they included "Steal my sunshine" as part of the soundtrack for this game.Last edited by kGinGreen; 03-20-2009, 08:23 PM.Comment

No rain, some overcast and mention of moisture, but no rain on screen.Comment

Re: Has anyone experienced a rainy game?
I did like the rain delay it just made it more realistic. I remember winning by 1 run in the 6th and the Orioles were coming back and rain out victory. I also want to know about wind where is it.Gaming hard since 1988
I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.Comment

Re: Has anyone experienced a rainy game?
It was out of control last year.
I can remember in my Reds season I had 9 rain outs in April.
I had to play like 7 double headers and it killed my pitching staff.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

I think that was 2k7. 2k8 had rainouts but no rescheduling of games as doubleheaders. That resulted in having to play the same game on the same day again.Comment

Re: Has anyone experienced a rainy game?
This doesn't bother me at all, it was poorly implemented in 2K8 and was nothing more than a MAJOR annoyance IMO.
I mean you'd start a game, and sometimes by the 6th or 7th innings it would rain rather than early on in the game.
At which point the game would sometimes get called, and instead of it being rescheduled or picking it up in a double-header. In 2K8 you'd just start the same game all over again, on the same day nonetheless.
It made the 2,3,4,5, or 6 innings you JUST PLAYED, a complete WASTE of time.
If they get it right, then it is welcomed, but if this is all they can do to SIM a rain delay/game then keep it out...for good.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Has anyone experienced a rainy game?
When did they say that? In the 2k forums, Ron said he was told "rainouts/raindelays are in - just handled differently than last year"Comment
