Player Icons and Info
Can anyone explain to me the different icons for your players sometimes in the roster mode? Like the T or grey shirt etc.. I am actually more focused on the T because one of my players has it but I am unable to dress him he is on reserves.Tags: None -
Re: Player Icons and Info
When a player transfers from one Division I school to another (for instance.. from Indiana to UAB), he or she must wait one year before being eligible to play. So, after your player sits out one year.. the player will be eligible to play next year. -
Re: Player Icons and Info
Just to complete this...
T = transfer year, as juhasdf said, they are sitting out for the year and can't play because they transferred
Grey shirt = The player has previously redshirted and can no longer redshirt a year
Red shirt = Player is sitting out with a redshirt this year(meaning he won't play this year, but won't lose the year of eligability)
White circle with red plus sign = Medical redshirt
W = walk-on, he's on the roster but doesn't use up a scholarship
I think those are all of the options, and I think I got them right...correct me if I'm wrong on any.Comment

Re: Player Icons and Info
I thought grey shirt was when somebody has to sit out a year bc of grades N they can't practice, sit on the bench, etc. until the next season when they get the grades straight???Comment

Re: Player Icons and Info
i have a related question. could someone please explain all the icons that sometimes appear next to a player on the roster such as the 3 (which i assume means he is a 3 point specialist) and i think another one is a hand (defense, id assume). there are a few of these, and i have no idea what most of them mean. thanks.Comment

Re: Player Icons and Info
I thought they did take up a scholarship if you chose to keep them on your team. Not positive about this but thats what I always thought.
And grey shirt is a player that already used their redshirt.Comment

The "x" button (for 360) is your friend. It brings up some really useful help menus in game and all of these icons are explained in the help menus.
As someone confirmed, grey shirts are those that have already been red shirted and cannot be red shirted again.
Walk-ons do not use up a scholarship.
The white circle with the red cross is not a medical red shirt. It's simply a player that's injured. Even if he's only injuried for 1 day, during that day, he's got the injury icon. After he's no longer injured, he doesn't have the icon any more.
I'm at work, but off the top of my head:
3 = good 3pt shooter
bullseye = good mid ranged shooter
hand = good at some sort of defense (could be D awareness or steals, or defense, or blocks. Any of those could trigger the hand icon)
whistle = Coach On the Floor
star = great OVR player (85+)
shoe = fast player
I'm probably forgetting some, but push "x" on 360 or whatever the help button is on PS3 while in the roster screen and it'll tell you what they all mean.Favorite Teams:

Re: Player Icons and Info
Didn't know that. But if you edit rosters I am pretty sure you can set the status to Medical Redshirt and the white circle/red cross will stay there all year. I will have to double check, but I'm pretty sure I did this to a player last week when I was tweaking the rosters I downloaded...Comment
