Re: Full Court Buzzer Beater in the CIT
It's getting to be as bad as college football with all those goofy bowl games featuring teams that have no business playing in the postseason.Once upon a time, I had a lovely signature. Then it died. The end.Comment

Re: Full Court Buzzer Beater in the CIT
There are four tournaments: NCAA, NIT, CBI, CIT.
129 teams out of the 340-some D-I basketball teams now make the posteason. I agree that Oregon State had no business being in the postseason, there were other teams that were more deserving (but may have turned down bids to the lesser tournaments). It's still not nearly as bad as college football where you have roughly half the FBS schools going to a bowl.
Success in the CBI or CIT really doesn't mean a thing, but it's a good way for schools to extend a decent season and try to end it well. It also gives the fans more games to watch and younger players a chance to get more experience. I see no problem with it.
That being said, with Bradley going from NCAA to NIT to CBI to CIT in the last four years, I'm ready to see them move back in the right direction as far as post-season tourneys go. I don't mind the CBI or CIT but they are definitely not tourneys I would want to be involved with on a regular basis.Green Bay Packers | Milwaukee Brewers | Bradley Braves | Wisconsin Badgers
Marquette Golden Eagles | Milwaukee Bucks | Milwaukee PanthersComment
