Lets talk Hot Routes!
 

I just PMed Phil with this idea. Hopefully he reads it over and gives it some thought. Now I come to you trusty OS posters for your input.


Us hardcore players know how to use all of our hot routes we're given as of now. I LOVE Smart Routes also! But I was thinking maybe there should be a few adjustments to them.

1. The option to flip a specific WR's pattern at the LOS.
2. Add Fades, Posts, Corners, Quick Hitch to the hot route selection.
3. Hot Route your NON-Play Action pass play to a Play Action.


The way I pictured this working is:
To flip the pattern:
Hot Route - receiver button - click LS in - flick RS left or right.

To use *NEW* Hot Routes:
Hot Route - receiver button - click RS in - flick UP on the RS for a Fade, DOWN for a Quick Hitch, and Left/Right for a Post or Corner.

To Hot Route a normal Pass play to a PA:
Hot Route - Press UP on the D-Pad. [this was in Past-Gen, and with the NEW Play Action QB Attribute, I thought this would go nicely].


I'm sure this is MUCH easier said than done, but it will add even more depth to the passing game. And I'm sure the rest of the hardcore guys would love this. What do you think of think of this idea?

I think that they should bring back what they did in Madden '07 when you could choose the hot routes you wanted just like you can with your audibles...but either way I would be happy because I use hot routes over 50% of the time.

I do remember that. But then that limited the about of Hot Routes you had. I like having a full arsenal! :wink:

lol true I would love to somehow be able to use all of the routes possible, maybe use what they have now but if you push down the left thumbstick down add 8 more and then do the same thing for the right thumbstick and you have 24 hot routes!!!:)

Idk, my idea just seems like it makes sense. But that's why they're my ideas =]
