Fifteen years = end of game?
Just won the SB in 2023 and my coach retired...is this normal? Wish I hadn't traded for that extra first-round draft pick next season!

Re: Fifteen years = end of game?
I would have preferred two 30 year paths myself. Once I get to around year 11 or 12 the draft becomes pretty meaningless so its time to start all over.

Re: Fifteen years = end of game?
15 does seem a little too short. Not that many coaches these days stick around that long for whatever reason, but maybe 20 would've been a bit better. Sure, we could have the 40 year Don Shula experience  but I'm not sure who would be still playing.
The bad part is that regardless of year, once you get to the end, you don't get to see what happens to players. I think 20 would've been the best. Right now, Jeff Fisher has longest tenure, he'll be entering year 16 next year, but I doubt he'll be leaving soon unless forced out. Looking at the numbers, there actually haven't been many past 15 in the modern era (Reeves was 23, Marty was 21, Parcells 19) |
