Smart Money would say that his lawyer told him to say that to help his bankruptcy case?

Vick may be an idiot. But his lawyers aren't.

He'll earn maybe 1 million in his first year realistically, and I don't see why he can't be earning 10 million a year if he returns to his past electrifyingness in a few years.

You know I really liked Vick. He was one of my favorite players. He was so exciting to watch. He wasn't a great passer, but his speed, vision, jukes/moves, and his awareness when running are insane and so much fun to watch. I know Vick is a convicted felon, but come on, people make mistakes. We're all humans. I'm sure there are people that have never been convicted for anything and yea they haven't made those mistakes.But I'm positive that those people have had times in their life when they made mistakes and regretted it. I know I've have had my share with the law. My friends and I got charged with theft(stealing computers from our school over Christmas Break of like 2006)which is a D or C Felony. We got found guilty of it and put on House Arrest and got probation for like 6 months I think. But obviously we were juveniles at the time, all of us were like 16-17, so we're not convicted felons. But everyone makes mistakes. And I forgive Vick for what he did. He looked sincere and had that look when he was in court like "Wow, what have I done??" I'm sure this experience changed his life for the better because it sure as hell did for me(but obviously his charge was a lot worse lol). I wish him well on his return to the NFL. I hope his first game back he has like 100+ rushing yards just so I can remember the old Vick.

First off, this should have been posted in one of the two Vick posts going already. Especially since it is already being discussed in one of them and the same story linked two days ago.

Secondly, ZRev, there is no one here in this post that needs "the come on, he made a mistake lecture." Everything said so far is only related to the bankruptcy case. Not to say that in a vacuum, some of your points are good points. but now, taking into account the theft of $1.3 mil and what appears to be an absalutely rediculous request in bankruptcy court, I lean a bit more to thinking he is an idiot.

There's no doubt he's not the smartest bulb in the basket, and a follower who's picked the wrong people to follow at that. But I also think this was his agent putting that number out there. And like you said, it won't matter anyway bc it'd be a huge shock if he doesn't end up right back behind bars very soon.

I know people are looking to hard into what he did. I mean there acting like the guy was convicted of rape, Now I have a dog and I don't approve of dog fighting, but vick shouldn't have got all that time. Even now if I had been mad about this I wouldn't be anymore b/c he has served his time.

Same goes for plexico buress he only deserves probation and a ban of some games at the most. I mean the guy shot himself on accident as if that doesn't make you look like a dumb*ss enough, not to mention he's a first time affender. I know he had the gun illegally but he doesn't deserve alot of jail time in terms of yrs.

You can't be serious in thinking that the 10 million figure was a serious number. His lawyers arent stupid you know.

This is an obvious attempt to prove to the courts that Vick has potential earning power after his release to pay back his debt.

A mistake is forgetting to tie your shoes or carry the one over on an addition problem. A mistake is wearing the wrong color socks for a particular suit.

I HATE when people call these "mistakes". This was not a mistake. This was a man lacking entirely in integrity and basic human morality getting caught. If he knew he wouldn't get caught, he'd do it all again.

He is what he is.
