Do you call the plays?

Simple question. I haven't played in a while but I'm going to start a new career tonight. In the past, I have taken the view of, "I pay the OC/DC to do this, this is their job and I live with the consequences."

Have you guys had more fun/interesting times letting them call your plays or calling them yourself?

I call the offensive plays and I have my defensive co-ordinator call the defensive plays.

I used to let my coordinators do stuff but I recently took over both offensive and defensive playcalling.

I let my OC call the plays on offense but I Run the defense I like to do man coverage with a heavy combination of blitzing schemes.

I'm pretty much the same as you for how I run my defense, and I let the OC call the offensive plays until he starts getting stupid and running the same play over and over or keeps running on 3rd and 8.

Right now I let the OC and DC call the plays, but I'll step in and override them if I don't like the call.

I've always called the offense but I'll let the DC call the defensive with about 10-15 calls a game by me.

For me, it really goes back to how good your coordinators are. I wouldn't want to let a low OC or DC call plays that much. I've got Eric Mangini as my DC and he has been successful for me.

For me i call all plays. The offensive and defensive coordinators call the same hand full of plays. So there for, your team will run the same maybe 8-12 plays a game, every game. It doesnt matter if they have all the play calling skills or not. I call my own plays. Cuz i have a gameplan going in. Its alot more fun, and interesting, and also if you let them do everything, your better off simming the game....

My feeling is to try and split the playcalling between myself and my coordinators during the game.

I haven't played a serious full season, just alot of play now games, investigating playbooks and personel and such. And it's like you guys have said the OC's and DC's have tendencies, but so do I. By switching back and forth, I hope I'm limiting any statistical odds of me/my coaches tipping a opposing D to our plays

I have a question does it affect the points your cordinators earn each game?

I'd prefer to gain more points then my coordinators, but it would be nice to know.

Does anyone know how to earn points?
I was winning every game, and killing teams, but my Head Coach was only gaining about 2000 points per game. How can I get that number up?
