Madden NFL Grass Textures
 

I don't know if it's just me or what, but when i looked at the grass on Madden NFL 09 it just didnt look all that realistic to me along the lines of how it looks on TV. Just my opinion.

Looks like the chiefs grass in person to me, every stadium is different, and not all the fields look brand new bright green.

Thats field turf in the video by the way.

I don't know a lot about graphics and how much CPU/memory it costs to put in 3d grass, but I have to imagine it's significant considering it's all over the field... or it'd be in all sports games by now.

Honestly, I just can't see it being worth it.

Fifa has 3d grass, and soccer fields are huge!

09 is way better than 08 and 09 looks great. however it is not varried enough from turf and real grass. Also, I don't think the baseball field look for Mian and Oakland are in 09. I haven't seen it anyway. Lastly, the look of night game grass is terrible, it glows.
