World Basketball Manager 2009 Goes Gold, Looking for Publisher (Worthplaying)

Worthplaying is reporting that World Basketball Manager 2009 goes gold and is looking for a publisher.

"World Basketball Manager is a basketball strategy game. It uses the same game-play principles as most soccer management games do and covers all basketball action around the world with 89 national and international tournaments, 852 teams, 10.000 basketball players and 1.000 managers."

OS should get into sports game publishing.

I bought the 2008 version and now the 2009 version as well. There are a huge number of leagues you can pick from, but this is mostly a game for European players I would argue, as whilst the NBA is in it, there are other games that deal with the NBA better and more stylishly, whereas the European basketball scene isn't really that well catered for with any other game.

The game engine is solid, and the game is very tough and challenging but the interface lets it down I would argue, and there is no ability to mod it which is a real shame, as if it could match Football Manager in usability terms and presentation it would have a far bigger following. Worth a look though, there is a 2 day demo out for it.
