Re: Madden will be 1080i on ps3 this year..
720p and 1080i are very close. Infact I bet 9 times out of 10 no would see the difference. In my 3 years of working at Best Buy it was rare for anyone to say to me that they could see a difference. Now if you throw 1080p in there then its a different story....
But to each its own I guess.... Wasnt trying to be an ***. Just thought I would put my 2cents in. |

NCAA probably won't and everyone will just be disappointed. Disappointment and EA together in the same sentence? say it isn't so!

Re: Madden will be 1080i on ps3 this year..
Actually 720p and 1080i are pretty much the same.
A progressive scan picture is actually the closer of the two to a true picture. Progressive scan has one signal line for every line displayed. An interlaced scan has an extra line laced in between every two lines. Progressive scan 1--------------------------------------- 2--------------------------------------- 3--------------------------------------- 4--------------------------------------- Interlaced 1--------------------------------------- 2- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 3--------------------------------------- 4--------------------------------------- 5- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 6--------------------------------------- It basically acts as a line doubler, and of the 1080 lines 360 of them are basically fake. Re: Madden will be 1080i on ps3 this year..
Um... no.
1080i is a step down from 720p. The difference is that on 720p, all 720 lines are updated with every frame; on 1080i, only half (540) are updated each frame. 720p is much more preferred for fast moving images (ie sports) because 1080i can cause blurring. |
Re: Madden will be 1080i on ps3 this year..
1080i has more pixels meaning a better spatial resolution; especially if madden for ps3 is running @ 30 fps again and not 60 fps (1080p or 720p would be better in this case)....hmmm, what is EA up to?
