ok, so last night officially sold me on this game even more.... My Yankees franchise (9-9) getting pounded out by the red sox, currently sitting myself in 4th place with the orioles????? in first. ANYWAYS, its the 3rd game of the series with the sox taking the first 2 by scores of 13-1 and 2-0 respectively..... i have hughes on the mound going against dice-k.
1st inning i jump out to a fast 2-0 lead with a BOMB from swisher his 8th of the month already. the red sox respond with 1 in the 1st,the 2nd & the 3rd. its 3-2 sox when i string together an old school yankees inning 2 walks a bunt an intentional walk and a bloop single by cano, its 3-3 going into the 8th. dustin pedroia (god i HATE him) hits a shot off edwar ramirez that still hasnt landed. its 4-3 going into the top of the 9th. they bring in papelbon. first pitch AROD sees goes deep over the monster and its 4-4..... then hmm lets see no scoring happens for the next 11 INNINGS! thats right im in the top of the 21st, when the red sox bring in javy lopez to pitch and tex takes a 3-1 slider to dead center. its 5-4 and after 3 singles its bases loaded 0 outs and i have no relievers left. i decide to bring in joba who doesnt pitch for 2 more games.... with youk, pedroia and drew coming up (papi is hurt for them) joba goes 3 for 3, strikeouts that is.. ALL LOOKING and the yanks salvage a 5-4 extra innings gem... god i love this game.
