What are the chances Ian and Co. being 1 and done?

What are the chances? Im constantly having visions of Madden 2010 being critically acclaimed, the first in many years, the game selling the same number of copies (lose a few fans of the old vision, gain a few (probably alot more) fans of the new vision) but the usual folk at EA not liking the nature of how the game turned out, and getting rid of the development team. I would just hate for this to happen.

I doubt very much Madden would lose any fans - even if they drastically changed the game. At the end of the day, EA produces the only NFL game, and people will buy it on that fact alone. It's the main reason why Madden is constantly breaking sales records even though most would say it's been subpar for the past 5 years.

This is a business. All EA cares about is money.

If Madden 10 makes boatloads of money, it doesn't matter how the game turns out - they'll bring everyone back again.

I don't think you can get rid of a group after only 1 year... I feel like Ian and the new team have so many mistakes to fix that we wont' truly see 100% of their vision until M11....

I mean seriously, how much development time has been spent in just undoing all the mistakes that the previous team put in?

Imagine how much better it will be in M11 when they could actually put all their efforts into features.
