Why no new shoes ?

I have seen it mentioned various times in many threads, and most people try to dismiss it as a petty thing....
like "who looks at shoes ?"

Well I look at them, and I keep seeing the same old ones !
You have 3 basic shoe selections, and they all look cheap.

Lets have some math help....

Added Hand Towels...prolly 5 to 10 players per team use them= 320

Added Hand Warmers...prolly 2 to 3 players per team uses them=
100

Added Half sleeves...prolly 2 to 3 players per team uses them=
100

No New, Team colored/highlighted or anything Shoes....45 players per team uses them= 1440

There are still many things to be released. Yes we have seen plenty of pictures and a few videos the past 48 hours. I believe we will hear about Helmets and cleats sometime during the next month in an equipment blog, just give it time and enjoy today.

and hand towels are more noticeable than shoes....as are hand
warmers.....unless of course you have bright lime green or orange.......
Don't put up bogus numbers to justify your concerns either....

I care, it matter like a mf'er to me. Pardon my french, but the guys at EA haven't let me down yet...I don't think they will...

I expect some kind of upgrade to the shoe selection, maybe not full blown...but something...

Whatever you like. When I played ball, I had to look right into in to perform right. When I create my player (pictured left) in Madden NFL 10 he'll have some significant upgrades. Upgrades that matter a lot to me.

All a brotha asking for is a little color on his shoes. Is that so bad? I'm not for Nike this, Reebok that...I just want my team colors on my shoes...

they're not going to add them between now and the final release. We've seen enough vids and pics of madden & ncaa to see that they haven't changed the cleats.

I agree with the OP that there needs to be some color added to the cleats. Hardly anyone in the nfl just wears 1 color cleats anymore. Especially position players.

i 'd like to see some new shoes as well. look at the nba franchises out there. they are up to date with the sneakers every year.

there is just as a marketing tool in the nfl as in the nba............but not as profitable.

but who could honestly compete with lebron james.

but come on guys............ judging by those pics i can guarantee no new shoes have been implemented.

When you play Madden hand warmers and towels will not be that visable to the offense, a little more for the Defense. But you see the feet of the players all the time.

And whats bogus numbers ? Every shoe worn in the NFL in 2008-2009 basically has some kinda coloring to them.
I looked at all the pics I could....I couldnt find any Off-White plain shoe, with greyish black laces being worn by anyone in the NFL.

I mean for anyone to say this is nit-picking, un-important,
get real ! How about every player just has plain white or plain black gloves...it's easier, and who looks at the gloves anyway
