QB Tendencies and incompletions
Early on in the blogs when they talked about the new QB ratings and some stuff relating to that, they showed the diagram of how QBs would now throw to a more realistic target in front of the receiver. They would lead him more causing less throws where the wide receiver has to stop or come back to the ball.
This was good news for me, because i think it will hopefully cause more incompletions that are not drops/swats/interceptions. In the NFL a lot of times the QB will lead the receiver too much to avoid the risk of a DB making a play on it, or put the ball in a place where the receiver can't quite get to it for the same purpose. I'm curious if any of the CD guys could chime in on this. Did any of you guys notice a difference in how QBs performed in this regard? That blog was the first one that got me pumped for this game. I think it will alleviate the problems where too many QBs have 20-25 250yds and 4 interceptions. Just hoping to get an update on if it plays out like it sounded in the blog. |

I would also like to hear what the guys from the CD have to say on this....

HUGE difference. This is one of the areas in which the game shined.

Re: QB Tendencies and incompletions
In my very first game in franchise mode with the Ravens I overthrew about four deep passes. One of which would have been a TD :( but I put too much on it and Williams was no where close to get it. I overthrew Clayton a couple of plays later and it barely went threw the DB's hands for an incomplete. So, I've experienced overthrows that were not picked but were also well out of the WR's reach. I'm hoping they tighten it a little more though, so we'll get just a few more overthrows. I'd like it to be like NCAA 2004 I believe it was, with Palmer on the cover.
