So....can we have an option for a playoff in NCAA 10??
 

we're already getting custom conferences, it would be a cool thing to have if we had an optional playoff system at the end of the season as well

I doubt it. That seems like something the NCAA would want to keep out because they are pushing the BCS.

The NCAA won't allow this at all until there actually is a playoff system in place (2013 possibly!!!!) but due to the current contract that runs out in 2012 the horrible BCS will be alive and kicking till then.

Just like the Madden Monopoly, I highly doubt the NCAA will let the BCS go like that. It just makes too much money to have 25+ bowl games plus games that match up conference champions plus #1 and #2 in a Championship game. Even if the NCAA came up with a playoff, I would expect no more than four teams being in it. Is that worth giving up the current BCS which pits champions against each other?

In other words, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Yes there was...a long time ago they had a tournament option. It was cool but kind of anticlimactic at the end seeing as how when I made it to the championship game with Notre Dame, the game was in South Bend with absolutely no flair or anything different.

All the games were played at one of the schools...neutral sites would have been better.
