Defensive line depth should be more important

In Madden, you could play an entire game without your starting defensive line getting tired. This is extremely unrealistic. The defensive line is probably the position that utilizes a rotation more than any other.

Does anyone else agree that the fatigue system should be a much bigger factor on defensive lineman than any other position. No team plays an enitre game with jus their starters up front.

The devs really should research this and find a way to implement this better onto the game to help with the simulation.

Good topic. There should be a more impactful fatigue system that makes a DL rotation not just helpful but essential. That and the HB position. Guys need to come out for breathers at a realistic rate, otherwise several players on the roster become nothing more than placeholders.

I definitely want to physically see fatigue in the game. Players panting, bending over with hands on knees after plays, not being able to keep up with quicker players. The fumble rate could increase more with tired running backs. It will force players to utilize packages also.

Agreed...Maybe one thing they could do would be to lower the fatigue ratings for these positions.

Ya as a Colts fan this has always annoyed me quite a bit especially within the last 2-3 seasons this season we had like 10 different Dlineman play....needs to be fixed...

Completely agree. All positions should wear down over the course of the game if they are being heavily used. Usually the only poeple who don't really slow down too much are qbs, kickers, and punters. Qbs probably should wear down too if they are running around a lot. Dlinemen and running backs however are the positions that should require probably the most subbing out.

You can see players panting and tired in the huddle.

i agree, my backups usually have 3 tackles and maybe 1 sack all year.

                          Agree with OP

A 330 pound DT is only on the field maybe for 40-60% of the total defense reps. I expect to be able to take a back like Brandon Jacobs and pound the defense till they are worn out then switch it up with a fast agile back who will just murder the tired defense for big yards. A proper fatguie system is a must for realisitc gameplay.
