Universal Server/Network: A concept
 

I wonder if the guys over at EA have ever looked at the possibility of developing a network that is independent of system i.e. a PS3 user could play a 360 user. It's definitely worth a feasibility study... that's the Engineer in me being "creative" LOL.

It would be awesome, for sure. i feel like with the switch to next gen, us PS3 users have been a little neglected, or at least not had the same focus as the 360 users. still, I kinda like not having as many kids on PS3 online. seems like the PS3 crowd is a liiiitle bit more mature, even though we also have our glitchers and gimmicky schemes to deal with. just seems like the anecdotes we hear come mainly from the 360 camp...

but yeah, I'd love to play against a buddy who has a 360. not sure if Sony and MicroSoft will want that or not.. or if they've already exerted pressure on EA to not go down that path or not...

It would definitely be nice, but I don't think it's up to EA. It seems Microsoft has everything in a headlock when it comes to stuff like this. I think it would be sweet.

i don't know if the 360 could handle the stress of being connected to a ps3.

They have PC and 360 games that allow each system to play each other. I don't see why the PS3 would be that far fetched.

I'm a PS3 user as well. I've been reading some funny 360 stuff. I guess the PC relationship MS and Sony have is off limits as far as consoles go.
