Dana White

Was Dana White ever a fighter in the MMA realm, or is he just the mastermind behind bringing it to mainstream? I am new to the sport and i was just wondering, because he seems and acts like he could be quite the bada$$ in the octagon.

No he never fought. He used to be Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz's manager.

Childhood friends of the Fertitta brothers. He talked them into buying the UFC and they made him President of the UFC.

he also has an decent boxing background. He's at least had amature fights...that's why the whole tito vs dana in boxing thing got started, from what I understand he is/was a pretty decent boxer. He can also bench over 300lbs - I'm not a huge fan of his, I'm kind of indifferent, but he could kick some ***.
