Justin Timberlake Hosts SNL A 3rd Time

Or is it 4th? A joke for those that watch SNL and remember the time he hosted SNL for 3 minutes on Weekend Update.

Anyway, Justin has done some really funny stuff on SNL. I still think his two shows were the best episodes since SNL apparently jumped the shark two decades ago.

    Ciara performs.

Let's see if Justin will tell us where next he'll ask us to give it on up to.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Wow, you didn't like any of the Tina Fey years, YP?

I just saw that "cork soaker" skit again and busted a gut. Their political stuff this season was money too, IMO, but comedy is all subjective.

Been listening to this Chappelle album lately that has had me crying.

No, I've always liked SNL. Other people don't seem to. I think Tina Fey was amazing on the show and continues to be amazing on her own.

But, the JT hosted episodes were always top notch.

Ah, no doubt. The JT three minute hosting was my favorite three minutes of SNL ever, LOL.

I heard a rumor that they're in "loose" talks to try and get Timberlake to commit to a FULL season (or as much as his schedule will allow).

He always says he has a blast there and if the money were at least right enough to fill in a blank spot in his busy schedule...who knows.

                  That's interesting.

I thought the skit of the great great grandfathers was pretty good.

"And he'll host a Saturday night show and come back often."
"Wouldn't that eventually kill the excitement?"
"Yes, possibly...it would only be about once a year."

(paraphrased of course, but that was the main point).

He's definitely a favorite on that show. SNL knows it and JT knows it. I wonder if bringing him along more often would kill that excitement. There's only so many [insert here]villes he can do before it tires out.

having him host once a year is enough, bc its great when he is on..

maybe have him do a few cameos when he is available to do so would be cool to. maybe 1 skit here and there.

i love the barry gib skit as well. jimmy always gets timberlake to crack lol. "just look at your brother, look at me.." lol..

Lol, he also said something about him dating a female celebrity who claimed to be a virgin in public but behind closed doors, he hit it .

And the new songs from the Dick in a Box guys, doesn't have the impact that it had, but still funny.

Also, I would in the camp that appreciates the once a year appearance. It's pretty much an event now lol. He brings other celebrities, Jimmy Fallon comes in and they do the Barry Gibbs Talk Show (love that skit), it's great. A whole season would definitely be too much.

I love that he doesn't mind making fun of himself; the boat skit was great - on top of that, he actually has some pretty good timing and decent acting.

"Motherlover" may not have the affect that "D*ck in a Box" had but I think it's the better song.

It sounds like a song you'll hear on the radio.

edit: I don't mean to say that it's better than DIAB. DIAB was hilarious and unexpected. Just an amazing short. Everything from now on will be compared to that one.

The Barry Gibb skit is can't miss. Just waiting for Timberlake to crack a smile is the best part, and I think Fallon makes it his goal in the skit. Classic stuff.
