Why is online so ridiculous?
 

You cannot even touch somebody without getting a penalty, its not even fun when you play the whole game 4 on 3.

They did that with a patch because it was the polar opposite before. You could interfere and do all kinds of things to manipulate the outcome of plays and games.

They went from one extreme to the other though, and hopefully they fine tune some things for the next edition so that there is a happy median.

yah i can play mutliple games with 1 or 2 penaltys a game. Just dont hammer people without the puck and dont trip anyone. lol

Yea I didn't like the penalties when they first changed it either, but now I don't mind because I've become more discipline, however that doesn't mean the penalties are setup correctly. For example I saw a boarding call that should have been holding, also I couldn't even tell you the last time I saw a checking from behind penalty called in the NHL yet theres 1-3 every match in this game, plus some of the tripping calls are pathetic, like when the guy is standing still then he goes flying in the air.

The checking from behind and charging calls are bogus (especially when they call you for charging while skating backwards), but everything else in this game is fine since the patch.

I average about 15 hits a game with an average of about 1 penalty.

Guess u are one of those people who just tries to hit everything all the time. I love how it plays after patch, u actually have to choose your hits wisely.

Its not just the checking that is ridiculous its a pretty off the wall online game for many reason. first off you butt rape the guy with the puck but he always gets away, goofy goofy goalkeeping, and mostly when you opponent holds his deek skates past 3 checks; many poke checks and then roofs with ease on your goalie. Still a score happy game like the pervious versions; no D because of complicated controls compared to the offense; which is freak'in easy. And on checking you will get 1 or 2 cross checking or tripping or boarding or elbowing penalties Its not just interference.
