Official UFC Undisputed 2009 Impressions

It seems that some people have already gotten their hands on the game. I am hoping those who are fortunate enough would share some things with us here.

First question I have is this - Are the submissions still impossible to pull off like in the demo?

Yup, a couple of people on my buddy's XBL list were playing the game last night. Hopefully some peeps here got it too. I'm itching for some full impressions.

Are there more than 2 fighting styles? I want to see more than guys either going all out for takedowns or all out for striking. I want to see guys mix it up in various ways.

Bump since people are getting the game.

Hook it up with some thoughts, guys! I know you're cracking out on it right now, but don't leave us hangin'...

Just got the game for the PS3

Impressions
  1. higher difficulties plays harder than the demo
  2. There is a slight framerate issue for the PS3 version, doesn't happen that much but noticeable.
  3. Pulling submissions still feels a little hard for me and maybe for others.
  4. Brock Lesnar is a beast.
  5. When you fight at MSG or Mandalay Bay you get a PPV broadcast but when you fight at the Palms you get a UFC FN presentation.
  6. Did I mention Brock Lesnar is a beast.
  7. When you fight a 5 round fight its a title fight, whoever is the red corner is champion. In the end of the fight there is a cutscene showing Dana White putting the belt around your waist.
  8. Staredowns only happen in title fights.

can you elaborate on number 1 ?? how did you get to this conclusion? did you test with shogun vs liddell and noticed a difference?

if it was 2 random fighters u chose, it should be harder as it is your first time out with them.

thanks JV

Re: Official UFC Undisputed 2009 Impressions

Initial impressions after only a few exihbitions is that the game is harder than the demo. IE I could win the majority of the time on advanced and Expert and found myself moving down all the way to experience in my first few games. Fought with Penn on advance and kept losing to Lauzon. Takes a bit to get use to no head kicks with certain guys as that was my big weapon with Rua. Don't know what to say short of the exhibition mode rocks. Haven't had a chance to touch create a fighter or anything like that yet.

Hey play as against Karo and Nakamara and let me know how their judo skills are in this game. Oh and play against Nate Diaz to let me know if he truly deserves his insanely high sub offensive rating
