Team owner Jerry Jones announced Wednesday that the venue in Arlington will be called Cowboys Stadium.

Country star George Strait will headline the opening event at Cowboys Stadium. The June 6 concert will also feature Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton and Julianne Hough from "Dancing With the Stars."

On Aug. 21, the Cowboys will host Tennessee in their first preseason game at the new venue, which replaces Texas Stadium in Irving.

It'll be named that untill he can get that naming deal that he was searching for. There's no money in Cowboy Stadium.

It would be really classy if he named it Tom Landry Stadium but you know that's not going to happen in a million years. Anyways as ns1_rob was saying this is only temporary. Jones can't get the naming rights fees that he's commanding with this bad economy.

Coca-Cola Wal-Mart Charmin Doritos TruGreen Field at Durex State Farm MTV Stadium does have a nice ring to it, though.

I will continue to call it JerruhLand until it has a more official name.

I like the idea of naming the place after The Only Coach The Cowboys Ever Had, though. Landry Field has a nice ring to it, IMO.

Tom Landry Memorial Stadium, America's Stadium, Cowboys Collisium, Tom Landry Field, Texas Stadium.

So many great names but they have to have some crap company name.

Even if its named Tom Landry Field (it should though) some corporate big wig will come outta the woodwork once the economy rebounds (huge rebound) and dish out millions of dollars just for naming rights to the jerry jones circus stadium. Its about time jerry opens his eyes and finally give respect to one of the greatest coaches in not only dallas history but nfl history, i know his name on cowboys ring of honor is great and all, but his name on the stadium would be even better
