I will be picking it up today, could not find it yesterday. I still play the Punch Out games on the VC and the reviews make the new iteration sound great.

I'll be picking this up after work today. I'll post some impressions a bit later on when I get a chance.

            Bought it....awesome game.

It is pretty simple...if you enjoy the previous Punchouts, you will love this. If you didn't, this shouldn't change your mind. They combined the best of both games and created this one. I prefer the special punch system of SPO to PO (which is the version the Wii used), but that is apples and oranges...not a big deal at all.

All the reviews at 80 and 90% are spot on.

My only complaints are lack of online (for scores, ko's, etc...) and there should have been more fighters. There is no excuse to not have every fighter from PO and SPO in the game.

Regardless, great game. I only used the Remote and will only use that.

For $40 and for PO lovers, this is a no brainer.

This game has reminded how dull my game reflexes have become. Also my pattern recognition has slightly declined to old age or our education system, lol. This game is excellent and the nostaglia value is high. It is one of those games that you will constantly play to beat your times.

I got owned by Tiger Singh and freaking Don Flamenco.

You think that's bad? Glass freakin' Joe knocked me down in my very first fight! I was trying to figure out how the hell to do the Star Punch and in the midst of all that, he caught me with one too many punches to the face and I went down. After that, I said "Screw the damn star punch, this French bastard is going down!". Knocked him out with :10 seconds left in the 1st round.

Glass Joe didn't knock me down, but King Hippo owned me the first fight. I trashed him next time around, but couldn't get his new super punch timing down the first fight.

The bad habit I picked up in the original Punchout for the NES is proving to be quite problematic for me in this iteration of the game. In the original, I ALWAYS dodged to the left. ALWAYS. In this game, there are certain punches that a left dodge won't save you from. I learned that really quick in my first fight against the Disco Kid.

Yeah, had to go the right with Disco. I was the same, always went to the left, but figured out Disco's combo really quick.

So far, I'm Soda Popinski's b*tch! I know his moves, spar with him in Exibition, but I guess old age is slowing me down. I just can't seem to time him correctly...yet.

where were you able to find it for $40? I'm considering getting the game but $50 or more seems too much for a game as limited as this is.

$40 at BB with rewards coupon.

                              $42 at Fry's.

                              $40 at Amazon. (or was)

                              $55 at Target with nunchuk

The more i play, the less limited it is. This will be a keeper and get many, many hours of play just like the other PO's.
