Follow NHL10 on Twitter for early info

If we can get to 1500 followers before Thursday morning (1238 now), I'll give a rundown of the trailer before it airs on Spike TV.

This is definitely a good idea, guys. Even if you don't use your Twitter account for anything but following NHL (and other EA sports titles) early, it's still worth it, imo. Reading through the posts, they have posted some good stuff the past few weeks I wish I had known about earlier.

And I only created a twitter account for NHL10. I don't really bother reading my own twitter page. lol.

According to posts on NHL twitter, we will see the new fighting engine, borad play, some goalie animations in the trailer that airs tonight on Spike TV's Gametrailers.

...and to wrap it up, I'm sure some of you have seen the wicked compilation video on youtube of captains raising a special little cup....about 5 hours ago from web

This has me a bit worried as potential exploits:

Lets hope they stay true to their direction of making the gaema srealistic as possible

I agree. But maybe it has more to do with scoring goals on your knees or knocking pucks out of the air? I hope so.

I wouldn't worry really about exploits resulting from them implementing flashy new ways to score. Look at the one handed deke. People were fearful it would be abused and would become an easy way to score, and obviously that wasn't the case.

Let's hope EA has ironed out the money goals from last year, and not added anything new.

@k9 had that last year, that was freaking stick. I hope they have that this year. I remember in the PS2 game EA had you being able to go behind the net and throw it over the net to a on coming player.

My guess is that he's refering to you not needing to have full puck control anymore to take a shot or bat a puck out of the zone. Which if true is another thing I've thought the game needed for a while now.

like one timing a loose puck?

Yep thats exactly what I'm refering to. Its something that would be even better on a defense situation when you're just trying to clear your defensive zone.
