Get in the slot and fire low to the stick side. =)

You'll squeak some through, and others will bounce off the legs and turn into assists when your teammates scoop them into the net.

Otherwise, you can operate behind the net and pop out quick passes to your teammates in front of the net which can lead to scores by them, or rebound opportunities for you. (Hold the left trigger while you're in front of the net, mashing the stick up for rebound attempts--this will prevent you from getting interference calls.)

I like to play along the sideboard and push the puck behind the net to the center and then skate toward the slot--sometimes you can call for a quick pass if you pass up an aggressive defender and push a quick shot toward the net, or just dump it back to a d-man.

Shot low on net so the CPU can take rebounds. Goalie will make a pad save and give an easy rebound !

Absolutely, its harder at first with wild inaccurate shots, but when you get better with it you'll never go back.

Yea, I think tha's one of the minor fixes in '10, they stop with the inaccurate shots that would never happen in a game.
