And it only took today to remind me.

-Mostly every user I ran into, was abusing the full court press
-Mostly every user I ran into, was mashing the steal button
-Mostly every user I ran into, was trying to use 2K as NBA Jam

I understand the only "simulation" experience I'll get is against the computer, but stuff like this is ridiculous. Add to it, you get Anthony Carter hitting 5 contested 3's on you in a game.

No its the game and the player...
1. It doesn't allow you to double.
2. Players get tired within 2mins when playing 5mins qtrs.
3. The animations are even worst especially when you beat a defender.
4. Fouls are rarely called, when there are animations that are fouls.
5. Worst of all; Kobe, D-Wade, & LeBron takes 85% of all the shots and dunks.

There's no difference in fatigue between full court pressing and playing a zone...that's a major problem

So true, so true. We're making 3 mistakes with this game. First looking for it to be a sim, second looking for a sim game online and third looking for this game to reward sim and punish junk.

You already know where you stand when the 2KInsider himself says "It's hard to find a balance between sim and fun". Once he said that you know exactly what you're in store for. A game that fails at both.

The Insider said that? Do you have the quote? He shouldnt even have to worry about the gameplay unless he also has the job of tweaking online sliders.

He's right, actually.

The sad part is the sim elitists that permeate this forum won't ever understand that. Make a game 100% sim and you lose part of the fun. There should be some unpredictability to the game, because the sport we follow has unpredictability.

Now, that isn't the say the game is without faults. But some are reading more into style than substance. Read an article or two... repeat a quote... and their mind is made up. As if it's some ridiculous justification that they really needed for their "fears."

The trick is to offer something for everyone. Hell, there are plenty of posts about The Show being "bad" for whatever reason... and it's one of the best sports games released this generation.

But of course, you'll always have someone who claims so and so should never happen. Just wait for the replies to this post.

You are right, I can come up with hundreds if I wanted to. The element of surprise can't be used to excuse a great deal of the mess that is allowed in this game.

Example, Yao Ming being a dominant ball handler and having the ability to score off the dribble drive on a CONSISTENT basis.

How can you defend this? By saying, "The game needs to be fun"

The issue is with 2K. Point blank. You can't allow damn near anything and then write it off as, "For the casual fans." It is a weak cop-out.

Not punishing folks for using turbo/pressing non-stop is another example.

It is getting old, as a matter of fact, it has BEEN old.

Not asking for a 100% sim, but damn make more things believable.
