Just Simmed to 2021
Grady Sizemore broke the all time hits record with 5582 and Ryan Church broke the all time RBI record with 2324. I wonder if they have a chance in real life?Tags: None -
Re: Just Simmed to 2021
I call BS on this...Grady Sizemore had 753 at the start of the season (age 26). Let's suppose he played 20 more seasons...he'd still have to get over 242 hits per year each year for 20 years to get to that total. Now lets consider the fact that 242 hits in a season would rank 15th all time for single-season hits totals and this seems pretty unlikely. Could he hit that many once? yes...twice? yup...hell he might even be able to do it 10 times...but there is abslutely no way he did that 20 times (until age 46).
No add the fact that you say it's year 2021. That's 13 seasons from the start of the sim period. You expect us to believe Sizemore got 4829 hits in 13 years? That's 371 hits per season...nice try.
If the game did allow this to happen there is something SERIOUSLY wrong with the sim engine.Last edited by Melkro; 06-04-2009, 05:11 PM.Comment

Re: Just Simmed to 2021
Oh yeah and I was looking at the Hall of Fame in 2021 and Tim Hudson retired in 2015 with 315 wins. I doubt he will he even come close to 200 wins let alone 300.Comment

Re: Just Simmed to 2021
This has to be with the goofed up rosters (stat glitch)...the numbers don't add up. I've simmed numerous seasons to test things and NEVER saw 250+ hit or 30+ win seasons (or anything close, for that matter). I did see Grady lead the league in hits on default ratings with 230 something, but as has been mentioned, it would take WAY more than that for those numbers to be reached. Same with church and the RBI's.
So either the stat glitch is at play (meaning old rosters were used), or something goofy happens with stat tracking way on down the line, because none of it adds up.
Of course, there's always the possibility of BS, but I would like to think someone wouldn't waste their time making up stats in order to get responses to a thread...lol.Comment

Re: Just Simmed to 2021
No im serious lol. I should take a picture to show you guys. What I also noticed it that a lot of players retire in the 34-36 range. A Rod retired after 2010 and Jeter retired after 2009.Comment
