MLB The Show 09: Franchise Question and Answer Thread.
Mine is 2-19, 10 games out of first. I`m considering starting over again for a 3rd time but it`s probably no use. I`m playing on PS2 on veteran level. Have any of you guys started over?Tags: None -

I actually started out 9 - 13 in my chise and in 4th place in my division and then got hot and now am in first place with a 47 - 24 record....amazing how a bunch of games against the Orioles will do to your record lol
just curious though....what team are you using? -
re: MLB The Show 09: Franchise Question and Answer Thread.
22-33. I can't get a win streak going to save my life(longest was a 3 game sweep of the Nats), the back end of my rotation prevents this from happening. That and my team BA is .250. I just Drafted the #1 SP prospect so that will help given that the O's have a lot of pitching in the minors. I'm thinking of putting Guthrie on the block and getting some relief pitching. It's been so hard not to sign Ben Sheets, but so far so good. I'm having fun. Huff has 18 HR's 36 RBI's he is my only real star offensivly, Mora is hitting .359 thats it. I did call up Wieters he's gonna be great.Last edited by N51_rob; 06-09-2009, 11:22 AM.Moderator

I started with the Reds and now I`m playing the White Sox thinking I would have a better chance of winning.....yeah right!

I never have worried too much about my record in my Royals chise until recently because I am near 100 games through. I have stood at last in the AL Central the whole year however a few good past months has put me in 4th place and my record is now 46-52 and climbing on a 5 game win streak.
Im hoping to keep the streak alive and maybe make an 11 game back push and catch up the to the yanks for an AL Wild card bid.Comment

I think I'm something like 25-34 or along those lines at the all start break with my Rockies team. I've made quite a few trades though....mostly getting rid of older players with big contracts for youn players with loads of potential. So My team isn't very strong.Comment

I'm at 33-22 with the Cardinals BUT I can tell you it could have easily been 23-32. I've had at least 10 games I've won in the 9th or extra innings by one run.
I'm riding high for now, we'll see how it looks at the end of the season.Comment

Glad to see I'm not the only one struggling. Using the Mets I'm 5-7 just lost 2-0 to the Brew Crew when Pel came out in the 6th inning with an elbow injury. I was so mad,2 hitter and a shutout going. Bring in Stokes and get a K but next pitch a HR.
I'm all over the place though. Some games are close then I get blown out. I've had 2 games where I lost big,18-7 and 15-2. Team BA is over .300 so the hitting is there but I'm struggling with pitching against the computer. I have threown a CG SO with Maine though.Comment

I use the Cubs and am at 19-21. My longest winning streak was 5. Fukudome had a 17 game hitting streak also. There are times when I can easily score 5-6 runs a game, then there are games I struggle for 1. I am 6 games back of the Brewers and in 5th place ahead of only Pittsburgh who is already 13.5 games outPlaystation Network:That70s_Gamer

I am 27-21 I believe, but I was way better than that in the first month. I seem to be imploding lately. My bull pen is just trash right now with not a single reliever below 4 era and I can't even remember the last time I hit a home run. I think I am 3-7 in the last ten and those three games all came in extra innings. I am not sure if the AI adjusted to me or what, but I went from a solid 3-4 game lead in the division to being tied for 4th place. I really need to make some adjustments fast, else I am looking at a long season of playing catch up.Comment

I just finished my season 95-67 on All Star with custom sliders. So far 2-1 in the playoffs. Let me tell you that the playoffs are ridiculous so far, they hit bombs left and right, and once you get a lead they come right back.LA Angels

I am 13-9 in my Dodger chise 2 games in front of the D-backs. I would never start over due to a poor record, just grind it out man. Some guys want to win all the time (Where is the fun in that).
Oh yeah I am on a 3 game losing streak with pretty decent hitting and pitching but we just are not scoring any runs.GT: BIG CAROLINA23
