So at the end of the day, Backbreaker is still broken.

Having read all the reviews, and heard all of the hype, it seems that Backbreaker's decision to hold of going public was what we all expected: covering for a broken game.

To even make this thing NOMINALLY work, they can't even allow anyone on the sidelines. The player detail is minimal, but at least smooth.

I think dynamic physics is a PS4 tech. I just don't see a complete game that can do this on these systems. Backbreaker will come out, and it will disappoint. But...they have set the bar for the next generation of consoles. Now that we know that it can be done, it will be the goal of every sports title to have this on next-next gen.

The key here is no matter what a game is or isn't...somebody is going to be disappointed and "scream" all across message boards claiming to represent the "true" fans.

I heard of this one game called Grand Theft Auto IV, and I recall them saying something about using this system across both the PS3 and 360 in a real time environment.

Of course, they also were in like a four or five year development cycle. I can't quite remember which...

GTA uses it for one or two people at a time, and it's VERY rudimentary compared to football physics. Apples and oranges.

I think it is a little too early to be calling this game broke.

This post screams irony. But it is right, we need more info first.

Thanks, but I'll wait til the game actually released and in MY Hands before deciding if it's broken.

I didn't say it will be broken at release. I said it's status as of RIGHT NOW is: BROKEN. It does not work. Period. Every review comes to this same conclusion.

This game will not be out for at least another year. And even then it will be a stripped down version of a football game with very little in the way of features.

so basically your stating the obvious. If you want to get down to it, All Alpha builds are broken, otherwise they would be ready to be shipped.

I don't know where you are getting your info... but its wrong. The game will be released this year or early (jan - feb) next year. Its not going to be June 10 before this game comes out. The PR guy , Rob, has come out and stated he hates when people make assumptions off previews. They didn't show their whole hand yet. Just wait a little. This game will come out, and it won't be "stripped down."

You want to point me to these so called reviews. Last time I checked there were only a couple of previews of a game that is not even finished and I don't recall the word broken being used in them.

Have you played the game? No obviously not.

What a waste of a thread.

Okay I understand the defense mechanism that is kicking in here but let's be rational...

This game HAS been in development for quite a while to release a preview that wasn't exactly nearly as done as hinted at. This means that somone in the higher ups is making the decision to push ahead when the kinks are still being worked out or even downright still broken.

This is not the games fault or even the developers...it's an issue with the PR/hype guys who keep pushing a product that isn't ready.

The hope is that they do not RELEASE the game before it's done. That means everybody including the public waiting to try it should be patient.

Exactly. People don't have the patience for games these days though.

It appears the guys are going to take their time. I've had long suspisions of this game mainly being a tech demo that can be showcased to other developers (namely EA) for sale. It appears, though, they may at least put out one full game but of course they want to polish it enough to make the IP bidding justified.

Well like i said before I feel from what I saw in the video so far that it looks like another blitz type game. I ain't trying to judge it. But I am trying voice my opion this game. I feel once the Dev team gets ready to give us a full preview of the game as a whole. Hopefully it will give hope to BB fans. But the thing is they have to stop putting it off. I know that they want to give their fans the best fottball game ever. But the longer you keep holding it back the less people care about it. All we can do is hope it comes out this year like they promised.
