NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on 850 KOA in Denver that Brandon Marshall asked Broncos owner Pat Bowlen for a trade during their meeting Friday.

Per Schefter, Bowlen asked Marshall to take some time to reconsider his stance. Marshall is not expected to back down, however, which means the Broncos are right back where they were with Jay Cutler. Though it's possible that a new contract could assuage Marshall, it's more likely that the receiver will continue to push for a trade. Perhaps the Bears will be interested. Jun. 15 - 3:11 pm et

Is he actively trying to run off all the talent there is on the team? I mean yeah Marshall has his well documented problems he is wrestling with, but he is still really really really talented.

I notice everyone in Bellichick's coaching tree has been a miserable failure. McDaniels is going down that path big time.

This is moreso about money than it is about McDaniels, IMO.

Money talks, Bowlen probably has the checkbook and pen ready to go.

My thoughts exactly, although with people's perceived perception(and also the thread title), I can understand why McDaniel is quickly the first person people want to lay blame upon.

Just to add, putting blame on McDaniels for this is not warranted. Marshall was expected to ask for a new contract this offseason, regardless of who's coaching. This is about money.

Hopefully this gets resolved one way or another, just get it over with.

Broncos signed WR Brandon Lloyd, formerly of the Bears.

A coincidence that Lloyd is signed after Brandon Marshall's reported trade request? Lloyd has a history with new quarterback Kyle Orton from their time in Chicago. Though he's shown flashes of talent, the injury-prone Lloyd never been able to string together any kind of consistent production. He's far from a lock to make the final roster.
