Single Player Franchise

Ok, so one thing that has been big on my list has been...

will the franchise feel different when I choose to play it as a single player, controlling a single team?

I don't ever want to control another team in any way, because you can't do that in the NFL.

that being said, will other games sim while I'm playing mine, or will three morning games be finished before the other 5 even start? I Hate that more than anything in franchise. it totally takes away from the depth of the mode if I have to "sim" past other games,

or worse yet play my monday night game before any sunday games have even been played.

please someone tell me my dream has come true and the other games will play out while I'm playing mine

point taken... so back to the topic... anyone know? anyone else want this? this feels to me like a biggie. this has been my biggest gripe is that having the league play out around you in a realistic fashion isn't even an option.

I think being able to play with 31 other people, or playing every game is cool, but shouldn't be a mandatory setup. I just want to play as 1 team.

In week 17 if I'm fighting for a playoff spot I want important games to play out at the same time as my game, not whenever I hit "sim game" on them...

Shouldn't have to, even though that's what I end up doing.

plus if I'm the 4th of 7 morning games, then the three games in front of mine are done and the 3 behind me haven't even started even though they all start at 10AM pacific time.

seems like this would be an easy fix though...

all you would have to do is have the games sim while my game loads up and then release information about those games to me during my game.

they could increase the halftime report's content to include a look around the league with some key commentary.

"The Packers lead the Lions here at halftime by the score of 21-6, and with the Packers and Vikings both eying the division title and the last NFC playoff spot lets take you out to Minnesota to check in on the Vikings game"

Now that would really immerse me in my franchise.

having the option to sim the Viking game before my game even takes place is silly to me.

Yeah, I feel you. I wish they would have a ticker at the bottom with the scores. Maybe even during the halftime show they could show the scores of the games going on and the games that happened earlier in the day. Madden 11 please! haha.

And it's weird hearing people from other time zones call them morning games. I'm used to early afternoon haha.

Yeah, my parents live in ATL and whenever I visit them I have to wait till 1 in the afternoon to start watching football... I feel bad for you folks. I wake up to NFL pregame shows!!!

Ha, yeah...I've always slept in until 10:30 then gotten something to eat/ordered wings or cheese steaks for the game and then watched the pregames.

They definitely need to implement a score ticker at least.

They started doing live tournament updates using a ticker in Tiger Woods. That would definitely be a great feature to have in Madden. Pop up ticker or scrolling ticker at the bottom of the screen that lets you know when someone scores or a game goes final.

I know I'm reaching here but, could a dev please comment on this so I can at least get an idea of why this isn't possible? I would love to hear, "it's in", but I'll take "here's why it isn't"

This is really important to me, and the whole "play with 30 people" seems to be more important... with online franchise now I hope that offline becomes more of a "single player experience" and without this I don't think it ever will be.

Sorry for the bump but I can't believe people don't really care about this. Visors get 30 pages and cleats 100 but franchise play gets no love...

I guess everyone but me is playing their franchise with a bunch of friends, or likes controlling all the teams.

If your talking about playing online franchise by yourself, I dont see the point. It has none of the offseason features and no contracts... Better off just playing offline by yourself rather than online by yourself.

Nevermind my other post, i got what your saying.. They kinda had this feature on the ps2 version.. I think I remember it simming all the games that were on the same time as yours, and giving you score updates as you played your game.
