So, I decided to rent Madden 09 (PS2) for spits and giggles...
 

...and it is far superior than any of the next-gen games. I think I might play this over APF 2k8 (mostly for the fact that the NFL license is important to me, and I can only play against the Cobras and Gunslingers for so long :spit:).

I can actually throw an out route! I can go over the top realistically! It even has the QB avoid from NFL 2k!

About to start a franchise and see how tuned the stats are.

**Also noteworthy are the excellent running animations.

edit- Why so serious? I'm not bashing Madden NFL 10.

Great good for you! You can just skip Madden 10 (before it comes out) and stay back on last-gen for another year.

By any of the next-gen games, I didn't mean to include Madden NFL 10.

Though, how good the game truly is has yet to be seen.

you are correct sir...current gen madden is by far superior to those next gen maddens. i am proud to say that i have both 360 and ps2 versions pre-ordered. i hope this year I dont have to return my 360 version.:y220:
