icing the kicker is a dumb feature and it shouldnt even be there why would u even want to see this? for your offline franchise that all u guys do? play for real with skill and u wont need these stupid icing the kicker and care about facemask designs .

Well this feature if put in would be a little help at the end a game when tired with someone online and they are trying to go for like a 52 yarder. I did that before online to someone on ncaa 09. He missed it complete. That small feature would be somewhat affective if used at a last second field goal.

I believe last year a team actually won because of icing the kicker. The kicker missed the first kick, but because the coach called the timeout, the kicker was able to redo his kick and made it the second time. I heard that kickers like it because it gives them a practice kick to figure things out.

Being a Rams fan, i remember the play-off game about 3-4 years ago i think, the one where the Panthers went to the Super Bowl. That entire last quarter of that game was purely on the kickers. There were at least 2-4 field goals attempt if i remember correctly between both teams around the last quarter. The kickers were defintily affected by the time-outs and the stress put on them to win the game.

Look at the Giant game where Shocker thought the kicker made the field goal. Kickers matter. I like the feature because it put all stress on the kicker to make the attempt. Having a regular kick just doesn't show off that effect it has on the kickers. It doesn't have to be exactly like NCAA has it, but something sort of similar.

instead of this, there should be an option for a "sneaky timeout" at the end of games, so that a user would actually do the kick, only to find out a timeout was called, thereby making them redo the kick. depending on the kickers awareness/accuracy ratings, the meter could get smaller/larger for the second kick.

Icing the Kicker should make it into Madden 11. This feature should be influenced by a composure rating. If an opposing team calls a time out in a tight situation the kickers ratings shouldnt decrease at all. What should decrease is the percent chance the Kicker will sucessfully convert the field goal.
