Teambuilder and draft?

Is anyone in an OD where you are drafting players from real schools to put on your created teams?

wow, that's not a bad idea. good thinking. one thing that came to mind was 12 teams and 70 or so players. could take a while. especially when we don't have an automated system of doing it. teams would be beastly but it'll be fair. or you can draft only from the 12 teams you replaced. cool idea though.

I agree it would be tough to pull off. You would have to limit the size of the rosters because who could stand a 75 round draft?

A paper draft might be easier. You could rank players by position, then decide which round to take a player from a position. Once the starters at all positions have been chosen, then draft a bench from a lower ranked pool of players. The starters could be guys ranked above 90, the backups would be guys ranked in the 80s, and if you needed a third string QB, an extra RB, a 5th WR, and extra players on the defense, that group could be guys ranked in the 70s.

It could be done, but it would be more complicated than the usual OD.
