So has 49ers helmet color issue been fixed?

2 weeks ago a member of EA's development team of Madden 10 (don't remember his profile name) told us in a blog of twitter:

- Big news for 49ers' and uniform freaks: I will be looking into the issue why the 49ers helmet appears too dark

So are there any news? It's been quiet about this topic and I thought this was something they wanted to give us an answer ASAP!!???

Obviously HE does. Hence the need for this thread.

I would like for this to be fixed (it needs to), but it will not be a game breaker (but it may be to some), but I am also curious. Not mad at BenjiA...

You will likely just have to wait and see if it is fixed. To be honest it was nice enough that they came here and let you guys know that they were working on it.

If they came here now and posted every little fix and tweak they got into the game before being done they would be here all the time wasting time when they could be working on the game.

And if they didn't fix it, at least you know it will be a priority for next year. I know that isn't what you want but I think given the time left it is the best you will get.

Here is the latest news. Sounds like you'll need to wait for an update.

49ers fans. We are not able to update the helmet for 8/14, BUT we may have a solution that will allow you to have it post ship. More l8r.

It was slightly annoying at first, but it's w/e now. I rather not run the risk of downloading the update and then having to deal with some glitch.

What's wrong with the color? Is it #600001 instead of #600002?

The studio is closed up now and the game has most likly gone gold aka into production now. So this issue can be addressed until madden 11. Put it on your wish list for madden 11. Then post it up on the madden forums when Ian and Phil and madden crew start working on madden 11 sometime next month. So this issue for now is pretty much dead.

And to N@X_WiZaRD, if it was your team, I'm sure you'd care. If they had the wrong titans blue to where it was noticable, I wouldn't buy the game.

And it IS noticable. Im not a uniform nazi and im not even a niner fan and I can see that the gold is off. They made it tan or matte instead of metalic gold like the pictures everywhere. Getting ALL the uniforms right is important to me for immersion.


To there credit though, EA fixed the Redskins. That had been annoying me since forever. : thumbs up:

What are you talking about? MY has already stated their trying to get the updated helmets for us ready after the game ships.

More importantly has CB. D.Bly been put onto the current roster as he should be? I do care about the color of the helmet but this issue to me is far more important to those of us who have online Franchise teams with the 49ers.
