I ran today during the freak thunderstorm. I was circling Autzen and PK Park when it dawned on me that "this is football weather." Can't wait to see what we wear clash with the blue turf. haha

I experienced that too, but I wasn't near Autzen unfortunately. I did drive by though earlier today.

Good article with some good news!

UO football season tickets near record, single games available this weekend

The national recession has leveled the banking industry, toppled the mightiest mortgage companies and frozen the real-estate market.
But it appears the storm will leave Autzen Stadium untouched. Oregon football, it seems, will thrive financially this fall, helping nourish an athletic department whose budget is projected to leap to an all-time high of $65.5 million.
About 94 percent of football season-ticket holders renewed for this fall, and the total of 43,240 season tickets sold already ranks third all time at Oregon. It's just two seats shy of the 2007 total and less than 1,000 behind last year's season-ticket record of 44,182.

If you subscribe to Sports Illustrated and are an Oregon football fan, you may be happily suprised when the latest issue hits your mailbox. The magazine's annual college football preview features the Ducks among four teams that grace the cover, depending on your geographic location.
Oregon juniors Jeremiah Masoli and Jordan Holmes are the cover boys for the western U.S. and will be staring out from news stands and airport gift shops from Seattle to Tempe in August. Acclaimed SI photographer Peter Read Miller visited Eugene in July and shot the duo in the Moshofsky center.
The other three teams with quarterback/center duos on regional covers are Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Penn State.

Holmes and Masoli were shot with and without helmets for the SI cover.

Peter Read Miller discusses the shoot with UO's junior center.

Brian Butterfield can also claim he was on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Mr. Miller and I were both shooting with Canon cameras. My guess is his final product may be a little sharper.

Sounds like its time to pour a 40 out on the curb. Sad development indeed. At least Herbstreet will be allowed around campus again. lol.

The early line has Boise as 4.5 point favorites. I thought it would be a pickem. I see the Ducks winning this one by 10+.
                      Thoughts?

I said it in another thread, it all depends on how the o-line has come together during fall camp. There is a lot of experience across the line and offensive linemen have always been well-prepared on this team. If that unit is solid from day one, yes 10+ point victory.

I also think (and hope) that schematically the defense will be better, and the new d-line coach, and actually having three real LB's for the first time in forever should be a huge help to that.

Sounds like Cliff Harris has gotten the green light from the Clearinghouse for you guys. Huge pickup, he should become a star.
