Madden 10 Demo vs Gold Build, what should we expect?

I'm curious where the bar should be set when the demo hits. I remember hearing the demo had to be approved by Sony and MS a while ago, so it's obviously taken from an earlier version.

Since the game has gone gold now, I wonder what sort of tweaks and improvements have been made since the demo's alpha build...

If we already know what issues have been addressed, the boards are less likely to light up over a little bug or glitch. Especially with the full 5 min demos, there's a lot of time to critique. I'm sure some folks will be analyzing every frame.

i asked this a few weeks ago, and ian said it's about a month older than retail. it might include the dline fix, but he wasn't sure at the time.

A lot of people have been saying the release version of NCAA 10 is better than the demo.

I can say myself that the demo of NCAA was much below that of the final NCAA retail build...and there are many that have noticed this as well. NCAA retail build plays alot better then its demo did imho...it still feels dead as hell but it plays better...

The nitpickers will probably have a field day on the madden demo..well i can guarantee that..i decided to totally skip out on the madden demo's this year though..i made my mind up, im gonna just wait for the retail version..i already know the game will be much more fun and exciting to play then all previous maddens..thanks to the revamped presentation which i had been begging for since the doors closed on the NFL 2k series..and after seeing the new presentation put into madden this year..thats all i need to see to know that im getting madden this year...im not saying im not concerned about the AI logic...i am but sliders will be enough for me to adjust the gameplay to my own liking any how...im not too much of a nitpicker when it comes to a videogame's AI..because its just that, a videogame..im not expecting perfection with the logic

One more thing i'd lilke to add.. im no developer but im POSITIVE the demo will not carry all the cut scenes, presentation elements of the final full version..same with some of the gameplay elements and bug fixes..this is why im probably just gonna avoid the demo this year totally.. and just wait for the real deal

You should expect for the final build to have a few minor improvements. Nothing too outrageous. The demo is probably gonna be bashed by some people which will be pointless.

well IMO the NCAA 10 retail version plays much much much better than the NCAA 10 demo did. The demo was not promising and was really bad. But the game is a lot better, not great but def back to at least being enjoyable.

Lol. If madden 10 is everything it's being advertised to be the naysayers should be silenced. Im guessing they'll be kinda a quiet for the demo tho. You gotta preorder for that and I know I'm one naysayer who isn't about to go that far.

I'm sure Moody/Apex will, and probably foaming at the mouth in anticipation lol.

As for people being silenced, I doubt it. Those animations are still pretty bad and that's the thing that is ripped on the most behind physics.

Lets just hope those are tighter this year...

Lets just put it this way. The demo is going to be Alpha build. So expected some glitches and stuff like that. Because I can see it next thursday. When people play the demo they will see some gltiches and things like that and come on here and complain and say I hope this ain't the final product is going to be like. Trust me the finish version will be mostly glitch free with a few minor one. All games have a few small glitches.

After NCAA...pshhh...i'm ready for my madden. Just using NCAA to hold me over.

I just hope people post videos of the demo for us to see..unfortunately I'm a Brit so have no way of getting the gamestop demo at all

One thing I do wanna know though: will either of the demos have commentary this year?
