Trouble connecting to people on PS3!Please help

Ok, I'm having a problem connecting to people on PS3.I am trying to connect to a buddy of mine and it wont let us connect.We both are using Wi-Fi and have Nat Type 2,which I believe is "Open" NAT.I have tried to open ports and that hasn't even worked.Everytime we do get connected on the team screen,when we load up the game freezes on the person who sent the invite.Has anybody had this problem connecting to some people and if so how the hell do you fix it?

the best thing i can offer up for you is to access your wireless router through your computer go into the settings for wireless online and put your ps3 on the dmz, it basically gives your ps3 all access to the internet so you won't have as much of a problem staying connected to the EA servers and be able to play everybody(it basically opens all the ports that would need to be open to give you the best service playing online games)

mine is acting up also. i cant get n a lobby. wen i try it kicks me offline.

yea that is what i mean, make sure it's enabled for the ps3. if so then it may have to do with the EA servers i know they are not very good so far this year

well when i get into a game its not laggy at all.it is very smooth actually.It sucks how I can;t connect to friends with Nat type 2.How do i make sure it is enabled for the Ps3 or if i enable it in the settings on my linksys web url,it will be enabled for ps3?

I don't think it's that man. I had the same problem with a frined of mine. We kept trying to play. We created a room but could never play. We decided to go into one of the east rooms and connected with no problem. Ever since then we've been going into an east room and haven't had the problem since. I think it's something in the created room. I hope this helped you somewhat.
