        Re: Wii Sports Resort

I enjoyed it much more than the reviews said I would.

The table tennis is so much fun! The response and accuracy seems so much better than tennis on the original Wii Sports. Nintendo could make this into a full title for sure!

Archery is the next best. Simple, accurate, fun and done better than the dodgy Sports Island series.

Frisbee is actually quite good. This is sword fighting really show the accuracy and improved tracking of the motion plus.

Wakeboarding is ok. Hold the remote sideways like the rope handle thingy and turn left and right or move it up to jump. This and Jetski are cool but too limited. The Jet ski one could have been so much better but the lack of real waves (N64 Wave Race this is NOT) and course/game modes hurts it.

The 3 point shootout is done quite well. You really feel like it tracks your hand movements and an early release really does equate to a flat shot and the right release gets the perfect arc. It helps too that the onscreen Mii actually animates with a flicking wrist etc, something small but better than the Street Fighter fireball jumpshots of most cartoon bball games. Probably the most enjoyable shootout in any bball game.

The flying mode is nice and relaxing to be honest. Great Wii Motion Plus use and easy to play.

Golf and Bowling seem a little more accurate but nothing special if you've played Tiger Woods 10.

Overall, definitely worth grabbing if you enjoyed Wii Sports. A lot more games to counteract the lack of depth.

I had my doubts about it too, but there are a lot of solid games included in the set. One to add to the list above that we have enjoyed would be Canoeing. It was really fun working together as a team to try and meet the distance goal under the allotted time. We did a two-man canoe because you have to have a Wii MotionPlus adapter for each controller that you use, but I bet a four-man would be quite fun. Definitely a lot of fun, but Resort will no doubt get quite boring and repetitive unless you have some others to compete with.

I have not gotten around to playing all the games yet but so far I love it, the 3 point shootout is my favorite followed by the dog fighting game (airplanes not real dogs) and sword fighting. The control is truely 1:1 it really is quite amazing what wii motion plus adds to these games.

If a full basketball game was made around that shooting mechanic, it would be great, hopefully one is in the works.

I'm looking for another good game for my fiance and I to play and if it's as good or better than the original four game Wii Sports I'd be all aboard.

The only downside is I would have to buy two more Wii Motion Plus adapters. Oh well the reviews all sound very positive. Probably pick it up when I can.

The nice thing with this game is that one Wii Motion plus does come packed with it for the $50.

Picked up this game last night and another WMPlus. Not too bad moneywise if you consider all the games included and an extra WMP for a few dollars more than a regular game on the "big 2".
                          Looks like tons-o-fun here.

I picked it up and have been playing for a couple days now. I think it's worth the purchase. Fun games that utilize the Motion Plus well. I think all of the games are well done.
