Teambuilder and Required Codes
 

I find it interesting that there has been so much excitement about Teambuilder, despite the fact that to actually use a created team, one must have access to a "Code" - even to use a team created by the user.

Codes are not distributed free, except in very limited quantities. And, as can be seen in another post in this forum, at least some 360 owners (including myself) have not been able to enter the code which comes on the back of the game book to access the "free" codes to which game buyers are entitled.

Without any codes, I cannot download any teams - not even the one I created myself and uploaded on to the site. Amusing and irritating.

So, what we really have is a for-profit version of "Create-a-Team", designed primarily to provide additional income for EA Sports, Microsoft, and Sony.

Apparently, it is a very successful marketing step, based upon the numbers of participants and teams being created and downloaded.

Good for them!
