How is LSU looking this year?

I have always been a fan of LSU, but haven't heard much on the status of the squad this year. Anybody know what's going on at Death Valley?

flying under radar, much like 2003.

Shepard to See PT along with Randle.
    JJ to start
Lee to pull off tear jerking comeback story late in season.
And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

They look pretty solid, but most don't consider them a real championship threat.

The defensive line seems weaker than usual for one thing. Quarterback play should be much better than last year, though.

I think LSU is a top 10 team and could be the best team in the SEC West on paper. Problem is Ole Miss and Bama don't play UF and UGA...LSU has them back to back where they go to Athens then host UF with UF coming off a bye week. They have to travel to Bama and Ole Miss. That's a very tough road to try to get to Atlanta.

They'll be solid like always. Jordan Jefferson showed great promise in the Chickfila bowl. Charles Scott is a man, a very big man. The defense will be good, as always at LSU. I for one think LSU will be a west contender. I think it will be between them and Alabama, I don't think Ole Miss is going to be as good as everyone is putting them out to be, just a gut feeling.

We've also got some players with breakout potential in the secondary. Chad Jones and Chris Hawkins are exceptional athletes. Jai Eugene finally has some experience and should be able to make an impact and Patrick Peterson's there as well.

Seeing what we do with Russell Sheppard is something I can't wait for. And I'm glad our QB position is no longer so in doubt.

They look to be set to make a run at a SEC championship, and possible NC if they beat Florida. The defense shouldn't be as bad as last year and they seem to be set at qb.
