Re: Is bowl eligibility fixed this year?
Nope, before I returned the game, there were 2 5-7 teams who made bowl games. I dont know why they went because there were 2 Sun Belt, 1 C-USA, and an ACC team that had .500 records and didnt get into one. This has been a problem since its ps1 days I believe.Angels= 2025 World Series Champions!! -
Re: Is bowl eligibility fixed this year?
I think the problem is that the game looks at their conference records over their actual overall record.
Shouldn't be too difficult to fix....but alot of simple things get overlooked for years.Comment

It could be that. I also think they focus too much on bowl tie-ins for conferences and that may cause problems as well.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Is bowl eligibility fixed this year?
Nope, Duke got in a bowl game with a 4-8 overall record, and only won like 2 conference games. Its broken still. It's probably rare occurence, but still frustrating to see. Just hope I never have to play one of those 4-8 teams, cuz it on't be a challenge to even win the bowl game.Comment

Re: Is bowl eligibility fixed this year?
I went 6-6 with Duke one year and got no bowl game, but 2-10 Arizona did...no idea how the bowl logic in this game works, but yeah, many strange things for many years now...back on 06, it didn't give the Big East a BCS game once.Comment

Yeah, this has probably been one of the worst and most stupid problems that hasn't been fixed.Comment

Re: Is bowl eligibility fixed this year?
An annoying bowl scenario for everyone to be mad over.
I am playing a Kentucky Wildcat dynasty...I make it to the national championship against Penn State from the Big Ten.
Wisconsin went 9-3 (6-2) in the Big Ten and didn't go to the Rose Bowl game? Instead it was TCU and Oregon State LOL! Now I was overcome with joy when UCLA beat evil USC to knock them out of their annual rose bowl slaughter of a Big Ten team and glad to see Oregon State make it...but was in shock when Wisconsin wasn't sent there as it happens in real life when a big Ten team plays for the title.
Maybe it was a glitch because the national championship was at the Rose Bowl for year 1 and that confused the game? I have no idea, but it was pretty lame, and also annoying to see both TCU and Utah get into a BCS bowl, Utah even had a loss.
And I also saw a couple teams get in with 5-7 records, heck FSU had a 6-7 record and loss their bowl game to go 6-8 haha poor FSU and their overrated talent.Comment

Re: Is bowl eligibility fixed this year?
This is a MUST fix. In my Dynasty in year 2 there are more than enough bowl eligible teams, yet:
4-8 South Carolina
5-7 Auburn
4-9 North Carolina
all made a bowl game.
Furthermore, the bowl tie-ins have not been updated (i.e. an ACC team goes to the Humanitarian bowl yet IRL the ACC has been replaced with the WAC).
This is the equivalent of Madden taking the top 4 teams in each conference, then taking the 2 most prestegious teams in the NFC and AFC and puting them in the playoffs even though they didn't get enough wins to make it.Comment
