no cpu vs cpu in franchise (EDIT: YES YOU CAN)

According to Steve from here you can't spectate in franchise mode. What a bummer. I use this feature a lot in the class I teach. Too bad I was really looking forward to using next gen instead of updating the pc version. Still going to buy because I will play it, just sucks for my sports marketing class project

    Yeah this is a letdown.

What kind of class you teach that involves Madden?

I do a huge unit on the nfl in my sports marketing class. Each group drafts 10 players and they do an essay of why they drafted the players. Then they have to create a team media guide, website, etc to market their team. Each friday we watch a game of the week. The kids love it. So for the comment about watching real football, I do. I would not watch cpu vs cpu unless it it is for my sports marketing class.

I didn't see anything like that in the Q&A. Maybe I missed it? Link?

Well this is a bummer. Why would they take that option out. Unless they added a coach mode or something where you can call the plays and watch them happen.

Again, I don't see this in either Q&A. I just went and skimmed through them. A link would be much appreciated.

I think Steve made a mistake, the playoff vids on IGN are cpu vs cpu. So unless the team over at IGN did some nifty video editing to make it appear that way, I would have to say cpu vs cpu is an option in franchise mode.

Guess we are just going to have to wait until the game is out as no one really seems to know the answer. I am hopeful though that they did not remove this option as it is cool to watch the cpu vs the cpu in franchise and has been an option for quite a few years now.

yes, this would suck if it's not there. i'd like to watch a game during "snack time".

maybe its not an option that sticks out...Like Play Game, Sim, Coach...Maybe you have to select Play and then not move the controllers...Lets hope anyway...
