Midnight Release?

I am not sure if Gamestop will open at midnight to release Madden 10 on 8/14. I have not been able to find anything on there gaming website nor there corporate website. I called my local Gamestop store and they said they have not been told anything about a midnight release.

Anyone else know or hear of any midnight release on 8/14?

COME ON FELLAS... Madden is the most anticipated game every single year... Gamestop has exclusive demos you really have to ask if they are having a midnight release? It's a tradition there...

That's a store-by-store decision - it's not going to happen at every Gamestop. I talked to the manager at my local one and he said his DM didn't want to do one, but that he was going to try to talk her into it (they have a ton of preorders). As of right now they're not, but he said I should ask again in about a week after they've had a chance to discuss it.

I thought the was mandatory by gamestop. Madden, Halo, GTA and Gears are always midnight releases. Atleast every GS I know.

If your Gamestop doesnt do a midnight release then go to Walmart or Meijer or something..Not hard to figure out boys

If you really want the game that bad on midnight and none of your local GS stores is doing the midnight release launch, then just go buy the game a wal-mart when the clock strikes 12. Then go back to GS the next day and cancel the pre order. Or cancel the pre order soon instead of having to go back after you already bought madden.

I think wal-mart is the way to go to be honest. No huge annoying lines because almost no one is there at that hour. If i don't get the game early which i doubt, then i will be going to wal-mart at midnight to purchase madden. But i dont think it will come down to that as i should have the game at the end of this week.

I agree with you, I have three wal-marts in my area, one is open 24hrs, I wonder if it would be possible at the 24hr one to get the game before twelve.
the one that is open 24hrs is located in Long Beach Ca. just for those who live in that area. I cannot say for the others.

But what if the store employees don't care and don't bother to unbox the game at midnight? Also, what if your wal mart closes at 9pm?

nope i think it's based on demand - how many pre-orders they get. at least that's what the guy at mine told me.

Out of curiosity since it urns midnight on the east coast, do you guys out west get to get the game at 9pm? do we get a three hour head start?

most all gamestop's will have a midnight release only gamestop that dont is the ones in a real mall far as i know if its like a strip mall they do i live by 3 gamestop's and 1 ebgames store all the gamestop i know doing it

and the lines are long but they go fast one line for non preorders and other is for pre orders and thats the outside line they only let few people in at once but i might be behind 50 guys but take only like 5 mins to get my game and some food my gamestop gives u for preordering madden wiht some madden cups tshirts
