Who's glad to see that Madden is finally adding a lot of changes...

Usually it's year by year not many changes.

People can't say it's Not changed much this year, because it has. Hats off to the EA guys...they went from a boring(because it's been used for 3 years!) franchise mode to a much more in depth one.

They also amped up the graphics to them being much better.

The ONLY problem I see with the game now....is this....and really, only this is my problem with the game...:

yea only problem is that the blocking is done terribly which pretty much ruins the game. i find games too easy so i like to play all pro or all madden. sometimes even all pro is too easy but all madden is downright ridiculous. i cant run outside period because of the horrible blocking ai lettin ppl just waltz in for a 5 yard loss. and yes i can run up the middle but honestly how effective is that with the smaller backs that cant break a tackle to save their life?

This is why I can't give thanks or kudos to this team just yet. Sure they made a lot of changes and Madden 10 will be much better than 09. But this video is painful to watch and sums up why the running game will never be great until it's fixed.

It was painful to watch, but maybe tweaking sliders will help in the run game.

I don't know man. Because if tweaking eliminates it, what about the default settings when you play someone online? It should be fixed.

Hopefully that can be addressed with some slider tweakage. I watched a video after that, the NFC East trailer and seen Aaron Ross come from the blind side of Tony Romo and get stiff armed by Romo who then throws a strike to Witten in the endzone......in the snow.....Man, that didn't raise my moral, kinda left me scratching my head.

I'm not glad to see Madden change... I want the same arcadey Madden every year with no improvements.

It probably wont happen online since that video showcased Human vs cpu, and like he stated in the video its EA cheap way of making the CPU competitive by dumming down your guys at certain times of the game. I do agree with that statement. Will it be that way for 10. Who knows for sure, but the demo tends to point that way.

I just want to see where everyone is going to be with Madden 10 come Sept when the novelty wears off. Right now everyone is hyped since its close to release time, and close minded on any faults, but we should all wait till Sept to express the truth on what Madden 10 really is. Good or Bad.

I have a few things I dont like about the game already but I want to wait for the retail version before I voice my thoughts. Presentation isnt my driving point gameplay is.

I really hope the sliders will help too. I don't want to sound like all the other critics saying the engine is broke but something definitely is not right with it. I still feel like when I play on a rookie I can run all over people, fumbles happen, interceptions happen, etc. When I play on a higher difficulty, I throw more interceptions, fumble more often, people who should tackle me based on ratings tackle me, my blockers decide to magically slide out of the way. I'm praying these issues are addressed in the final build or that someone can give us slider settings so these things don't happen. I'm very happy with the presentational additions this year but all the presentation in the world doesn't mean jack squat if these gameplay issues are still present. This is coming from an old head who still plays Joe Montana 1 on the Sega Genesis. I'm not looking for a perfect game, I just want a game that's fun to play and one that doesn't have me cursing at the screen when guys completely miss their blocks for no good reason.

I'm with you in that gameplay is what matters to me too. Not the presentation (although nice but needs more umph), not the inclusion of towels, hand warmers and cosmetic nonsense.

Tecmo bowl player. Back when I was playing with Dan Marino, connecting with Mark Duper and Clayton!

I wish this was fixed. It's been a problem with madden for a few years.

I found this video just looking for madden videos...He loves to criticize madden, but he makes decent points at times.
