Will "fight for the fumble" go down as the worst new feature ever in Madden?
Seriously, who thought it would be a good idea to introduce a button mashing mini-game into an iteration of a series that appears to be heading more into the sim zone than any of its predecessors? Yes you can turn it off, but this might go down in Madden history as one of the goofiest ideas...right up there with the vision cone. Don't kill me now vision cone lovers!

Im all for sim gameplay, but I actually like it. It is pretty realistic in the sense that you still have a fighting chance to get the ball, but the first guy that got to the ball is going to have an advantage. -

If you can turn it off, then this might be the most pointless thread in OS history. Just kidding, but I think you get the point.Seriously, who thought it would be a good idea to introduce a button mashing mini-game into an iteration of a series that appears to be heading more into the sim zone than any of its predecessors? It's already been confirmed that you can turn off the button mashing and still get the cut scene.
Don't see how it is going down as the biggest mistake in history.
They put it in, and gave the user any option they can want with it. What more can you ask for??Comment

Great idea. I love it.
Button mashing (turbo) was in NFL 2k5 and everyone loved that.
I love the feature. My fiances brother and I were playing the demo and we had a fumble happen. It was great "fighting, button mashing" with him for the ball. It was like we were on the bottom of the pile "fighting" for it.
My opinion is it's a great feature. Maybe against the cpu not so great but, against another person it's great.Moderator

If you can't turn it off in an online game then I can ask for a lot more."You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling."Comment

It's garbage against the CPU because the CPU knows what button switch is coming before you do.
I turn it off.Comment

I've found it to be way to easy in the demo. I'm guessing you think the opposite?NFL: Bills

No, there has been much worse (i.e. ring builder).
Personally, I like the fight for fumble feature but it can be better. The feature is more suitable for when you play with another person instead of when you play against the CPU.Comment
