Slower speed=Realistic, I don't think so

Who really thinks the slower speed is more realistic? The more I think about it, the more it sounds like a copout to me. I think to make Madden more realistic, it should be close to "NFL game speed."

Is the slower speed compensation for lack of natural movement or animations for blocking, running, and catching? Fortunately, the game speed can be changed but what aspects of the game will be changed? The players will move faster but will the ball have more zip? Will receivers react quicker when the ball is thrown on a hook route?

I was playing the demos again and as of right now, timing routes are bad because the receiver doesn't react fast enough and if he does, he's not aggressive to get the ball. By the time I try to control the receiver, he's already lost position to the DB to get the pass. DBs are more aggressive and hungrier. Whenever I ran the ball, there was no aggression, no umph factor. Maybe there shouldn't be just one slider to change game speed but several sliders to change the speed or aggression of players by position?

What are your thoughts on this?

What is going on here?

EA gives users options which is exactly what we have been asking for and it is drawing complaints?

Now the slower game speed is a conspiracy to hide deficiencies in the game? Really?

No it's just an option for game speed which is exactly what some of us have been asking for for years. Nothing more, nothing less.

they are going to have a lot of sliders and i think it was said that they'll have for example DB reaction, WR reaction. idk i heard a few position sliders that had reaction so you'll probably be able to tune it up your way!:)

chill, he's not knocking the game, just wondering about possible consequences. everybody gets so pissed on here too easily. im not really talking about you but, i've had a few ppl overreact to something that i didnt mean for them to take that way. but i guess thats what you get when you can't really convey "tones of speech" you know?

No. I just want a great simulated game representing the NFL, my favorite sport, football. I want M10 to be the game that will give me the NFL experience I like watching on Sundays. Where people won't have to make videos of glitches and bugs and enjoy the game. Where we all can enjoy M10 and not think about what's wanted for M11! Are my expectations to high?

That is great news! You might as well close this thread up if that is true.
